Excellent hotel in a location that allows for convenient trips to all parts of the island. The hotel has a heated swimming pool and an outstanding breakfast. Excellent service at the reception. I would like to mention Mrs. Catarina Ferraz who helped and created a pleasant and good atmosphere. Also the excellent service provided by Mrs. Nelia and Mrs. Rita are lovely.

I had an amazing well rested experience with some of the tastiest meals ever.

I really liked the quiet serene environment. The room was beautiful and clean and did not have carpets which can be a trigger for allergies for me. But most of all the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The steak dinner Philp prepared for me was the beast I have had in a really long time. All the meals I had were very tasteful and worth coming back for.

I came at a time that was too cold to enjoy the infinity pool or take nature walks

Exceptional oceanfront property

Gorgeous modern oceanfront property with stunning views. The suite was spacious and very comfortable for our family of 4. We used most of their amenities - the indoor heated pool was lovely, restaurant had great food and service, spa services were very relaxing, breakfast spread was varied and delicious. The staff were very warm and friendly, they even arranged for an evening with a babysitter in the business center with kids activities like coloring. All in all a great place that we can't wait to return to!

Great place with some disappointments

Very hospitable, thoughtful, and hardworking breakfast and housekeeping teams. Great and comfortable room with amazing sea view.

Unpleasant breakfast area: noisy, crowded, and a bit smelly from humidity. Inside the hotel, there are signposts to “natural pools”. We couldn’t find them so asked the staff and they informed us that you need to walk more than 1 hour down the shoreline from the resort to the natural pools, but that they weren’t safe when the sea wasn’t calm. So having this sign inside the hotel felt a bit absurd. Dirty spa area and small indoor pool. Very cold outdoor swimming pool (unheated). Some tiles in the outdoor area and inside the pool were crooked or missing, so you had to be careful not to hurt yourself on the edges. This is a safety hazard, especially for children and elderly. Overall, the food isn’t very good - not at breakfast, nor at the bar or restaurant (lack of choice, overcooked, etc.) Additionally, no roomservice is offered (no menu in the room), which is very surprising for a 5* resort. The artificial fireplace in the bar area was unfortunately never on. Also, don’t go here if you don’t like Nora Jones (playing evening morning, afternoon, and evening on repeat). The reception wasn’t welcoming and hospitality was lacking. My partner informed the hotel that we were on our honeymoon, but they were only willing to decorate the bed a little if we also bought champagne. Since we don’t drink alcohol, they said they would see what they could do. They ended up putting 4 chocolates on our bed, which they do for everyone who arrives - very disappointing and unacceptable at these rates. It’s not a big effort to put some red hearts confetti on the bed and it hardly costs anything. We were not informed about the option to get a breakfast box if checking out before breakfast hours and it was too late to get it while checking out at 4 am. Overall, more like an average 3* all-inclusive resort than a 5* luxury hotel.

Location, amenities and views were great!

The views are amazing, the breakfast was awesome, and the pool was refreshing. The majority of the staff was extremely nice, with an exception of one, but that is usually the way. We did not let it ruin our opinion of the remaining persons who were kind, funny and hospitable- We really enjoyed the location and staff at the hotel, it was very nice.

I did not like being told i would have to eat in the room and not on the patio where there was NO ONE else eating. I also wish Housekeeping was consistent, as we were missed a couple times although we'd put the sign up. Not a big deal, really.

Lovely hotel, good value for the money if you want a relaxing stay in the Azores!

Beautiful property, right on the water with an infinity pool. The ocean view rooms are definitely worth it! Easy to get to from PDL airport despite not being in a major town. Gym and indoor pool / sauna area is very nice. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was nice.

Food was not the best, dinner was overpriced. Definitely recommend making reservations outside! The spa also has very limited availability so book in advance. Staff doesn’t all speak English very well so keep that in mind. Only other thing is the photos make it seem like the property is beach front - it is not, the ocean below the property is just a bunch of rocks.

Amazing views, a bit more luxury for the price would help.

The ocean view is to die for. Rooms are nice and clean, albeit a bit small. Breakfast is great and staff very friendly.Location is ok, but you do need a car to discover the island.

For us, it was to pricey for what it offered. We are used to luxury hotels, but for 350€ a night, we expected a bit more. Pool was outdated and almost empty on one of the days. Rooms on the small side. Did feel a bit all inclusive instead of luxury hotel.

Very Good

It’s not a 5 star. It’s a 4 star. The staff is very nice, kitchen and bar also. Nice views and location. The SPA is poor and noisy. Check in and check out times aren’t practical and very rigid. Bar closes very soon for summer time

Beautiful and so relaxing.

Beautiful setting and lovely friendly staff. So relaxing and just what we needed. Pool view was exquisite!

Food was an excellent but more variation would have been good as there was no where else to go to within walking distance. Service was a little on the slow and forgetful side although the staff were lovely and the quality of the food was excellent.
